Dear Valued Customer,

I hope this letter finds you well. As many of you know, I suffered a bad fall in 2023 that resulted in my having complete shoulder replacement surgery. Unfortunately, this injury has not healed as well as I would’ve liked and continues to give me a good deal of pain on a daily basis. As a result, I have made the difficult decision that I can no longer continue working. Therefore, I am writing to inform you of an important update regarding Wilkes Income Tax Service.

After a great deal of thoughtful prayer and many discussions with my family and with my doctors, I have decided to close Wilkes Income Tax Service permanently. Please be assured that I do not make this decision lightly and am aware of the impact this will have on many of you. The office will remain open on a limited basis as we work to finalize certain aspects of the business; but will close for good within the next few months. If anything changes I will certainly let you know.

It has been my true pleasure and honor to get to know you and serve you to the best of my ability over the past 16 years. I appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in me, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as I begin this new chapter in my life.
